Waffee Waffee + Coffee is the second Waffle store by the two brothers. Their first one was in Altona.
But when I saw that they had opened in the city, I was very smitten. Meld did a really good review on them when they were in Altona.
Here they authentic Belguim Waffles as well as good coffees. They have been opened for five days now.
The lady that served me was very friendly.
They open from 7:30am in the mornings (weekdays only) til about 7pm at night. On weekends they start at 10am.
Like the store in Altona they have original, blueberry, coffee, white and dark chocolate ones. You can see them making the waffles as you walk past the store. Unlike the Altona store there is no sultana flavoured ones or the sticks. They are still setttling down so just give them some time. They don't have EFTPOS yet, but they will soon.
I sampled some of their original waffle and it was sweet. But not as sweet as the White Chocolate ($3.30 for 1) one. It was small but it was good for a late afternoon treat. Like the Waffle on's waffles these are crisp due to the pearl sugar that was used.
Oh and for those that love coffee they have combos for under $7. Their hot chocolate is quite popular. But when I went it was a warm day, hence I wasn't in the mood for hot chocolate.
This place isn't for you if you don't have a sweet tooth. But I have a sweet tooth for all things dessert. I hope that Meld tries out this place soon enough.
