Rare book week celebrates the love of reading. This festival also celebrates part of Melbourne's history. Here there are many free exhibitions and things going on. The event is organized by ANZAAB (Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers) . Rare book started last year and their aim is about passion for the book. This years theme is Celebrating the book.
Melbourne is known as the Knowledge city of Australia.

There are also lots of free exhibitions on at this time. Most of the events are at the State library and at the MCG library. For most of them you need to book and you can book on their site.
